Kathleen Ryan creates sculptural works combining materials of different value, often representing everyday objects and foods, such as rotten fruit, jewellery, and spider webs. Some of the central themes of her work are decadence, decay, desire and transformation. In her first museum survey which is currently on view at Kistefos – Ryan’s works are presented across two industrial buildings, emphasising the historic development of our current times.

The event will include a short exhibition tour, followed by refreshments and a conversation between Ravini and Webster, who will discuss themes drawn from — but not limited to — the exhibition, informed by their backgrounds in psychoanalysis, art history, and curating

The event is free and open to all. Complimentary return bus transport from Oslo is available. Places are limited and must be confirmed in advance. Please email post@kistefosmuseum.com if you would like to reserve a seat.

Departure from Hotel Continental (by Nationaltheatret), Oslo: 15.30 (arrival at Kistefos approximately 16.45)
