Kistefos – adventures await the whole family!

Kistefos is a unique cultural destination with The Twist, art exhibitions, a large sculpture park, and an exciting industrial museum. But did you know that we also have an array of activities for children?

Let the children enjoy themselves in the activity park, foam pit and hamster wheel, get soaked in the water fountain, or solve puzzles with the children’s map or activity booklet, all while the adults enjoy the many cultural experiences available.

Kistefos has immense outdoor areas and is beautifully located along the river Randselva in Jevnaker, only one hour from Oslo. Children up to the age of 16 have free entry!

Activity booklet for children

Pick up your activity booklet at the entrance and solve a variety of puzzles! We have various children’s maps and a booklet of activities, so time will fly by quickly. It’s a great way to explore the splendor of Kistefos, while stimulating your senses and creativity. Several of the sculptures are also interactive and invite you to play and have fun.

The children's favorite - the water labyrinth!

A trip into the water labyrinth "Path of Silence" is mandatory when visiting Kistefos. Bring a towel and a swimming costume because you will get wet!

In addition to the pulsating water labyrinth, the sculpture has a mirror maze where you can get lost and see yourself in many new ways.

Tracing history

The Industrial Museum at Kistefos has a total of seven floors and presents plenty of passages, nooks, crannies, and strange things to explore. You can switch on several of the big machines with a push of a button and learn about the industrial community that once existed at Kistefos. In the pulp mill, there is also a hamster wheel and a foam pit for children, and in the pulp mill attic you can create your own digital flower.

Psst: Watch out for horses on the ceiling!
