Kistefos Museum is pleased to announce the unveiling of a site-specific sculpture by internationally acclaimed American artist Lawrence Weiner.

The sculpture is gratefully acquired with thanks to a generous donation from Kistefos AS and will become the 47th work in the permanent collection at Kistefos.

Lawrence Weiners new text-based work is installed on 2 façades of the Kistefoss II waterworks and is a direct response to Kistefos’ rich industrial history. That Weiner has worked so site-specifically is a rarity, as throughout his 60-year career he has accrued a large number of slogans that can be adapted to different situations and places.
